Hi my name is Jennifer and I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful children. I have an almost 3 year old son who is our little giant. Although he is only 2, people often mistake him as a 4 year old because of his height. I think we spend the most money on constantly having to buy him new clothes! Sometimes it makes me sad buying children size clothes for my toddler. I also have an absolutely beautiful baby girl! She just melts my heart with each little smile she gives :)
For the most part my two children keep me very busy. But when I can sneak the time in, usually during naps or bedtime, I am on my computer designing away. Ever since I was little I loved drawing. I took art classes all through high school and then went off to school to be a fashion designer. Why did I choose fashion design? Well, I loved art and I loved shopping, so I put them together, only to find out I didn’t like them together. I came to realize I may love to draw, but I didn’t want to be stuck only drawing clothes. I may love to shop, but I didn’t have any interest in staying on top of the latest fashion trends. So after graduating, I went to help out a friend with photography and began finding that I loved working in photoshop. My love for photoshop continued to grow and now I just can’t get enough. If I don’t know how to do something, you’ll find me on the computer looking up tutorials and teaching myself. Although fashion design did not work out, it did teach me layouts. I had to make sure my portfolio was laid out well to catch the eye, this lead to me being able to design wedding albums, guest books, greeting cards, etc. I have an eye for lay out.
More than anything else, I love Jesus Christ and want to give my talents to Him. I know when you give your talents to Him, He will multiply them. I have seen this first hand in my life. I began helping design backgrounds for my church’s announcement slides and then my creative talent continued to grow and so has my business. Now I am finally putting together a blog so I can begin showing others what God is doing in my life through the talents He has given me.
I am constantly challenging myself to learn more and do more. Keep watching as you’ll see I like to do a little of everything. If I don’t know how to do it, then I’ll figure it out! I am also beginning to work on getting better at photography. I love taking pictures and would love for people to see the beauty in God’s creation through the images I capture. Whether it be from a pretty flower, to a breath taking landscape, to looking into the eyes of a child, I see God’s beauty in it all. I pray you see it as well!
